A shippo (cloisonne, enamel) vase, the ground color is pale blue-gray, worked in silver wire and
bokashi (shading) with different types of chrysanthemums in bloom by a flowing stream in colored enamels.
The neck and foot rims are silver or shakudo, and the foot rim is signed with very small characters
"Ōta zo (made by Ōta)".
There were some Nagoya-based artists with the last name "Ōta", such as Ōta Jinnoei (太田甚之栄),
Ōta Ryojiro (太田良治郎) , etc. This piece was made by one of them.
