A silver tobacco box by Ishikawa Katsunobu.
The lid is decorated with Mt.Fuji, castle, three cranes inlaid in gold, shibuichi, shakudo.
Signed on the lid "Katsunobu koku (carved by Katsunobu)" with a seal.
The base of the box with two stamped marks, " Jungin (pure silver) ", " Hattori sei".

Ishikawa Katsunobu (1869-?)
He was born in Mito in 1869.
He became a pupil of Namekawa Sadakatsu in 1882 in Tokyo,
and started his own business in 1890.
